Position Details: The Business Systems Engineer is a hands-on functional team member responsible for developing and testing software solutions to support Grainger's growth. This role involves working on solutions in the EWM and SAP WM spaces, with opportunities to grow and adapt as business needs evolve. Ideal candidates will be passionate about software development and testing, eager to learn, and capable of taking on challenging work to solve customer issues creatively.

You Will:

• Transform complex concepts into simple, maintainable test cases to reduce production risks.
• Write well-documented test cases, configuration documents, and process flows.
• Investigate and resolve application issues and inefficiencies using DevOps tools.
• Conduct and evaluate unit and integration tests.
• Participate in refinement sessions spanning multiple languages and applications.
• Support production deployments during go-live phases.
• Collaborate with the team to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Identify opportunities for team improvement and guide consistency with other peer groups.
• Develop prototypes and POCs to demonstrate new ideas and technologies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing feedback and communicating issues/blockers and project status.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Distribution Center/Warehouse Operations and functions.
• Experience with SAP ECC, SAP WM, and SAP EWM; SAP GTS experience is a plus.
• Understanding of user operations and how tasks fit into overall processes.
• Ability to maintain an updated skill set in new technologies and programming techniques.
• Team player with the ability to work with Grainger technical and business contacts.
• Working knowledge of Jira or Agile Methodology.
